絵本で英語子育て
英語の絵本（うちはCTP)を使って子供に英語を教えています。
3月からCDを聞き始め、10月まで159時間、英語に触れています。
使っているのは以下の60冊ですが、子供が喜ぶのは絵本の内容が歌になっていたり、リズムのいいものです。
また気をつけないといけないなと思うのは、意味を理解しないで聞こえたままただ英語の音を繰り返している場合もあるということです。
簡単な内容のものなら絵本を見て、CDを聞いただけで意味を理解できますが、内容が難しくなると意味はそっちのけでただ聞こえたとおり歌っているだけになったりします。
せっかく英語の歌を歌えるのに肝心の意味がわからなければ効果半減です。
何のために、短めの絵本を使って英語子育てをしているかというと、「英語を英語のまま理解できる」ようになるためです。
意味がわかってこそ、生きてくるのです。
ときにはどういうことを言っているのか、どういう意味の絵本なのかをじっくり説明してあげることも重要ですし、お母さん、お父さんにじっくり絵本を読んでもらう、お話ができるというのは子供にとっても嬉しいことだと思います。
うちも何冊かそういう絵本があるので、じっくり説明せねば！です。
